XSTREAM Infection Control Announces

XSTREAM® Infection Control LLC, and Aperiomics Announces Strategic Partnership

Oakton, Virginia, October 24, 2017 - XSTREAM® Infection Control and Aperiomics have agreed to work in concert in a joint effort to assist the long-term-care industry in establishing and maintaining effective prevention and control programs to prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infection. Government regulations have mandated that controls be in place by 11/28/2017.

It is estimated that 700,000 people die and 6.4 million contract infections each year, according to industry statistics, in health-care facilities making it the leading cause of death in America. Recent studies have also shown that current cleaning solutions can pose serious respiratory problems (COPD) in 30% of staff.

Currently long-term-care facilities are mandated to have a system for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases for all residents, staff, volunteers, visitors, and other individuals providing services. Ninety-five percent of these facilities are currently unable to do so. XSTREAM® and Aperiomics can provide the solution to bring these facilities into federal compliance.

Aperiomics is the only company of its kind and scope in the world. Aperiomics identifies every known pathogen (bacteria, virus, fungi, or parasite) in a single test through next-generation sequencing of the DNA in environmental samples. XSTREAM® Infection Control provides the hardware and technology through its XSTREAM® 2000 system operates 24/7/365 to continuously deliver cluster ions to the designated areas. They actively seek out pathogens via electromagnetic charge. Upon contact, the stored energy of the cluster ions are unleashed through the pores of the pathogens’ cell walls, thereby destroying them from the inside out.

Under this joint effort, long-term-care facilities will be able to establish written standards, policies, and procedures, and be able to provide a system of surveillance designed to identify possible communicable diseases or infections before they can spread to people within the facility.

Facilities will receive instructions on how to swab and collect environmental samples from areas to be tested, how to label and barcode samples, and how to package and ship samples to Aperiomics.

Facilities will also use the XSTREAM® technology to kill deadly pathogens from work surfaces, floors, linens, equipment, and all other areas where lethal bacteria and viruses can collect and grow. This never-ending exposure of potential infections to the patients and residents is our greatest concern.

Aperiomics and XSTREAM® consider this a breakthrough in the control of deadly pathogens for the long-term-care facility industry. For more information and inquiries on XSTREAM®, visit our website or contact our office at the number below.
